Shea Butter Lotions
Haiku #7 Hand and Body Lotion
I developed the formula/recipe for Haiku #7 Lotion as a hobbyist over six years ago. Intrigued by the science involved in making lotion, I took a rather non-scientific approach to developing this formula.
I started the process by digging out all the small bottles/tubes of lotion stashed here and there around the house....I know you can relate because you have them too. Those travel sized lotions that you purchased to hydrate your thirsty skin...used once and tossed aside because they really didn't feel 'right'. I spent a week or two testing those different brands of lotion, figuring out why they didn't feel 'right' and researching the different ingredients on the labels. And researching the label ingredients on mass produced lotion is quite an educational experience!
With a solid understanding about what I 'did not' want in my lotion, I began studying the benefits and qualities of different natural oils/butters. The goal was to develop a lotion that felt 'right' , but more importantly, to use ingredients that would supply maximum levels of nourishment, protection and hydration for my skin.
After experimenting with many, many small batches of different ingredients and various proportions, Haiku #7 was 'born'.
Ingredients include:
Available in two sizes (Small/Travel and Large) and five different fragrance options (Blackberry and Sage, Cherokee Rose, Flamingo, Lavender Bee Mine, Teatro). Click on a size option for fragrance descriptions.
