Margie learned how to make and swirl soap in her sleep, but she assures us that you will not go to sleep during her presentation!
A professional photographer recently visited Margie's shop to take pictures for a new business card design. She provided some soap bars and went back to tending to the store, not paying much attention to the photo shoot. After 10-15 minutes, she caught a glance and realized the professional had set up the shots featuring the bottom side of her soap bars. She decided it was indeed a compliment that the bottom of her bars were considered to be as artistic as the top side!
She will be making two batches from start to finish as you watch. Tips on everything from temps to timing and technique will be discussed as it is happening. She'll show you the common kitchen utensils that work for her. And will demonstrate what she does to get her color patterns distributed throughout the complete bar as well as crisply laid down on the top surface.
Margie hopes that after she makes soap with you and discusses the process she has used from day one, that you will be inspired to get out your swirling wand and stir some color magic into your personal recipes too! (And she also hopes there isn't a cold draft blowing where she will be making soap with everyone watching!!)

Lake Travis SpringFest
April 27,2008 My first show for the season! The Lake Travis Chamber and Hill Country Galleria are working together to present this first SpringFest event. Will be held at Star Hill Ranch which is located on Hamilton Pool Road (one mile west of Hwy 71).
Live Music with Pauline Reese (and others), a bar-b-que cook-off, tons of kids activities and more! (ohhh, and I should mention Beer & Wine to go with the assortment of Fair Food!!)

The Vistas are a new luxury condominium community on Ranch Road 620, located close to the Randall's Store...the entrance will be clearly marked to welcome you.
